Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Korean Air flies into 15 airports in 14 cities in Japan and has flights departing not only for Korea but also various destinations around the world via Seoul. The airline's first class has enjoyed the continuous patronage of a number of celebrities and VIPs for its sophisticated services and for its cabins pursuing the ultimate in comfort. Why not experience air travel in Korean Air First Class, which still goes beyond mere satisfaction, as it always has?
As indicated by the Greek word "kosmo," which means order, harmony and the universe, the First Class "Kosmo Sleeper Seat"* has a beautiful form that offers the ultimate in functionality, reproducing the spacious comfort of a first-class hotel. Equipped with a massage function, these 208 cm long cocoon-type seats can recline 180 degrees. Each seat is separated from any adjacent seat by privacy screens, realizing a comfortable and completely private space. * Currently offered on numerous flights servicing North America and Europe.
Apart from the seats, the variety and quality of Korean Air's meal service is of particular note. There are usually two or three menu options to choose from, including meat and fish dishes in addition to Korean dish bibimbap, which received the Mercury Award, the equivalent of an Oscar for in-flight catering services. On five selected routes to the U.S. and Canada, passengers can pre-order a Korean set menu consisting only of Korean dishes from the First Class Korean Course Meal Ordering Service. Only organically grown vegetables and grains are used for the First Class menu items. The focus of the menu is highly health-conscious and Korean Air has even started offering top-class Korean "hongsam" ginseng tea, which is a famous health drink, on some routes from last year.
The rich selection of wines also makes flying with Korean Air an experience of even greater excellence. You will forget the passage of time as you indulge yourself in the enjoyment of some of the finest wines available, including Chateau Leoville red wine, Chablis Premier Cru 2006 white wine, Dom Perignon and Krug champagne. In 2004 , their red wine "Chateau Giscours 1999" received the "Cellars in the Sky Awards" which annually celebrate the best wines served on long-haul flights in business and first class.
With the introduction of new Boeing B777-300ER aircraft from May, Korean Air First Class will have seats with further upgraded designs. In a space perfected for relaxation in the sky Korean Air invites you to experience its utmost hospitality that even offers thorough consideration for your health.
