Sauteed Pork with Ginger (Shoga-yaki)

Cooking time: 15mins

Ingredients (for 4 persons)
12 oz (400g) pork loin
For the dipping sauce
3 tbsp grated fresh ginger
4 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sake
2 tsp mirin

 

  1. Combine dipping sauce ingredients.
  2. Slice the pork into 2 inch pieces and steep in sauce for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan.  Place the pork in the pan, in a single layer.
  4. Saute over high heat till slightly brown, then turn and saute at medium heat.
  5. Add the remaining sauce, and cook for a few minutes.
