Tuna Rice Bowl (Tekka-don)

Cooking time: 20mins

Ingredients (for 4 persons)
21 oz (600g) cooked rice
11 oz (300g) block tuna for sashimi
1 sheet yaki-nori seaweed

(A)
1 tsp soup stock
4 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt

(B)
2 tbsp soy sauce
4 tsp mirin

 

  1. Mix (A) and cooked rice in a bowl and cool to room temperature.
  2. Slice the tuna into bite-size pieces and mix them with (B).
  3. Cut the nori seaweed into 1 1/2 inch strips.
  4. Place the rice on 4 individual bowls.  Arrange the tuna on top of the rice, then sprinkle the nori and (B) over.
