Ingredients (for 5people)
100g All Purpose flour
1 Egg
1cup Cold Water
500g Prawn
1 Small Carrot
1 Small Sweet Potato
1/2 Burdock root
2cups Vegetable oil
Tempura sauce
- To prepare the batter, mix the egg and cold water first,
then add the flour. - Cut the sweet potato, carrot and burdock root into strips.
- Soak the sweet potato and burdock root in the water
for couple of minutes and drain them. - Put some vegetable oil in a pan and heat it to 170℃.
- Put the vegetables and the prawns in the batter and mix.
- Use a ladle to scoop them little by little and deep fry them.
- Turn up side down to deep fry them equally
until the colour changes to golden yellow. - Dip in the Tempura sauce.
