Generally, there are two types of personal storage: interior storage and exterior storage. Since contract will be automatically renewed unless you cancel it, you don't have to worry about updating your contract.
The cost of the service varies according to storage type and the size you need. The company has especially got a great lineup of less than 10,000 yen per month, and they will offer you the most reasonable storage after hearing the details of goods. As in the case of the lease agreement, foreigners who want to apply for this service need a Japanese guarantor or a surety company. You will also have to provide the copy of the Certificate of Alien Registration along with the contract which is written in Japanese. Then, the process will be completed after 3 to 7 business days.
Finally, you should keep it in mind that this service is only available to people living in Japan and it cannot be used in the case of overseas business trip or living abroad on a long-term.
