Ueno Park
This park contains a historical museum, art museum, zoo, music hall, library, and much other cultural facilities.
Shinobazu pond lies at the base of Shinobigaoka, a famous sakura viewing place, and in the summer, the lotus flowers bloom beautifully.
Access: 2 minute walk from "Ueno Station" on JR, Subway Ginza, Hibiya lines
      5 minute walk from "Ueno Okachimachi Station" on Subway Oedo Line; 1 minute walk from "Keisei Ueno Station" on Keisei Line

Asakusa
Even now, the feel of old Edo remains strongly, which is why Shitamachi is known throughout Japan and the world as a place where one can feel traditional Japanese culture, and why so many visitors come.
There are so many places to see, with Sensoji Temple's Kaminarimon Gate and the Nakamise shopping street, as well as the 5-story pagoda nearby, and Asakusa Hanayashiki, Japan's oldest amusement park, and Rokku.
Access: Get off at "Asakusa Station" on Subway Ginza, Asakusa, Tobu Isezaki lines
      Get off at "Asakusa Station" on the Tsukuba Express Line, a Tokyo area new urban railroad.

Ameya-Yokocho
This is normally called "Ameyoko". It is a shopping street of over 400 shops, from foods such as fish and dry items, to clothing and sundries.
The sight of shoppers buying fresh food for the New Year's celebration on this shopping street is a time-honored tradition.
Access: Get off at "Okachimachi Station" on JR Line

Shingenji
This is one of the Shitaya Shichi Fukujin, and is also one of the Three Great Edo "Kishimojin", "Iriya Kishimojin", a sort of demon troll in Shintoism.
It is famous for the Asagao market, held sometime each year around Tanabata Festival.
Access: 1 minute walk from "Iriya Station" on Hibiya Line; 7 minute walk from "Uguisudani Station" on JR Line
