Ryogoku Kokugikan
This is the venue for Japanese Sumo wrestling (January, May, September tournaments). To see a match live is very exciting.
Inside the building lies the Sumo Museum, where visitors can learn about Sumo history and culture.
Access: 1 minute walk from West Exit of "Ryogoku Station" on JR Line; 4 minute walk from Exit A3 of "Ryogoku Station" on Subway Oedo Line

Edo Tokyo Museum
This is a museum where visitors can enjoy Edo-Tokyo history and culture, through rich materials, recreation models, and other fun.
In addition to cafes and restaurants, there is also a shop with original goods.
Access: 3 minute walk from West Exit of "Ryogoku Station" on JR Line; 1 minute walk from Exit A4 of "Ryogoku Station" on Subway Oedo Line

Sumida Park
This park is divided between the sides of the Sumida River banks, with famous sakura trees on the east, or Sumida City side of the river. (The west is Taito City)
Because it is the closet venue to the summer Sumida River fireworks show, it is packed with people during that event.

Former Yasuda Garden
This is a very famous garden, and was built in the Genroku Period. It changed hands in 1889 to the Yasuda Zaibatsu, and was donated to Tokyo City in 1922.
It is famous as a high-tide circuit garden, but now it uses water collected in the subway reservoirs, and a tide effect is accomplished by artificial means.
