Shinagawa
One of the main terminal stations in Tokyo, this station has departures and arrivals by Shinkansen trains to and from all over Japan.
Also, as one of the largest business districts, Shinagawa has numerous company headquarters buildings.
Perhaps for this reason, the station has many city hotels and restaurants around it, and is a center of entertainment as well.

Shinagawa Aquarium
This facility includes a 22m tunnel pool from which visitors can gaze up at swimming fish, giving a wide view of the world of the sea.
There are 25 pools in all, which contain life from Tokyo Bay as well as deep sea fish, and all are displayed with different themes.
Penguins, sea lions, and seals are also kept at the aquarium. There is a dolphin show as well, where visitors can enjoy a dynamic performance.
Access: 8 minute walk from "Omori Kaigan Station" on Keihin Express Line; 15 minute walk from North Exit of "Omori Station" on Keihin-Tohoku Line

Hara Museum of Contemporary Art
This private museum features a collection and exhibits of contemporary art. It holds exhibitions which introduce the latest movements in contemporary art.
Its main collection works include Miyajima Tetsuo's "Toki no Rensa", Nara Michi's "My Drawing Room", and many others.
Access: 15 minute walk from the Takanawa Exit of JR "Shinagawa Station"

Oi Futo Chuo Kaihin Park
This seaside park is located on the Oi pier, and is divided east-west by a road.
This park features fun that can only be had at a seaside park, such as clam-digging and fishing. Also, part of the tidepools are prohibited for entry,
and there visitors can observe Spotbill ducks and seagulls. The park also hosts one of the best sports facilities parks in Tokyo.
Access: 8 minute walk from "Oi Keibajomae Station" on Tokyo Monorail

Shinagawa City Library
This library has 270,000 regular books, 80,000 children's titles, and 15,000 media items.
There are 220 viewing seats here, giving space for a relaxing read.
Access: 3 minute walk from "Shinbanba Station" on Keihin Express Line; 3 minute walk from "Shinbanba Ekimae" bus stop on Tokyu Bus
